Argus

Pendant's in-house SEO auditing tool, built at the request of our marketing department who needed a way to analyze and improve our web properties. Argus provides a polished visual interface for a comprehensive website crawler I wrote. Under the hood, it runs a Node.js script that crawls websites by following links, extracting SEO metadata from every page it discovers—titles, meta descriptions, Open Graph tags, Twitter Cards, canonical URLs, heading structure, image alt text coverage, and internal/external link counts. The crawler performs keyword frequency analysis across all page content to identify the most prominent terms and phrases on your site. It can optionally integrate with Google Lighthouse for detailed SEO scoring. The web app wraps all this functionality in a clean UI built with shadcn/ui, visualizing audit results with interactive Recharts graphs and storing historical reports in Vercel Blob for tracking SEO improvements over time.
